My name is Brian Bergstrom and I always loved maps and geography. I may not be able to name all the state capitals, but I always have had a very good sense of spatial awareness. My background in IT has helped me understand the concepts surrounding GIS a lot easier. I know Python, which helps automate things in both map making and spatial analysis. I also hold a certificate in Database Proficiency from College of DuPage which helps create nice geodatabases and organize them more efficiently. I am looking to expand my portfolio in GIS beyond the class projects I have been working on.

I am a huge fantasy geek who likes to read fantasy novels. Patrick Rothfuss, Scott Lynch, and Peter S. Beagle are some of my favorites.
